PGDCA, Indsearch : Second Year

I just confirmed my admission to second year of PGDCA at IndSerch. First year was good. Though I managed to score significantly less in two of my subjects, I have incremented myself to next year of my educational adventures.

Course begins on 21st of July. Which makes me miss first month and a week lessons. I can resume the course in first week of september. This PGDCA semester includes UNIX, Oracle and Java. I’ve been craving for long time to look into Unix platform. I just could not get enough driving force to get me install and study Linux things on my own. Same with Oracle. I have been using MySQL for my database needs. I’m excited towards oracle and it’s SQL powers which are still oblivious to me. As for Java, I am quite sure to know some cool stuff from my teachers. Last semester helped me get a finer detail of C and VB thanks to our nice and cool teachers.

Though I’m excited about this year, some of my classmates were not as excited me for this. Some classmates have switched colleges, Some have quit the course and have switched to some other courses, mostly, M.Com .

The reason behind this is probably the Academic Autonomy.
IndSearch has gained Academic Autonomy last year. Which means they can customize their courses and make them more oriented towards current market. Which also means an increase in total number of subjects to be studied per semester and more study in same or lesser time. This autonomy has significantly changed the courses like MCM or MPM. Our course, PGDCA, being a part-time course focused towards working/part-time students is relatively less affected.

Some people think that IndSearch is completely autonomous. Not true. I still get the "University of Pune" on my result sheet, which, for me is sufficient. As far as I am concerned, I am satisfied with IndSearch.

I recently noticed some strong traffic to my blog for PGDCA, PGDCA colleges and IndSearch. I would like to cater to these visits more efficiently and be more informative in the near future. Thanks everyone for these visits. I hope you find

Being in US at present, I am not able to get more details about admissions and other stuff (like syllabus changes) happening at IndSearch, however I will try to get as much information as possible from my friends and share it here online.
